Drive-in church to be new temporary norm
In the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, citizens, businesses and churches are finding new ways to carry on. An idea that has been catching on around the country is drive-in church services. Crossroads Wesleyan Church held its first drive-in service last Sunday with great success. A trailer was placed in front of the church as a stage platform holding speakers, microphones and instruments for the praise and worship team to lead drive-in church-goers in music and prayer. Around 25 cars, parked two deep around the platform, each averaging two to four people per car. They honked in response during the service and at the end of the service. Pastor Gebert announced the 10:30 a.m. drive-in services will continue as long as needed, weather permitting.
