Ten FCCLA students qualify as STAR winners

Chase County Schools (CCS) FCCLA members competed Feb. 5 at the district STAR competition in Arapahoe.
STAR stands for Students Taking Action with Recognition.
All 10 students received medals and qualified for the state competition.
Silver medalists were Jorja Dannar - Public Policy Advocate Level 3; Delaney Krutsinger - Career Investigation Level 2; and Chloe Soltis - Fashion Design Level 3.
Top Silver medalists were Tristen Stumpff - Professional Presentation Level 1; Ryley Vrbas, Sadie Peterson and Ashlie Benge - Entrepreneurship Level 3.
Top Gold medalists were McKenzie Soltis - Interior Design Level 3; Alexis Richmond - Career Investigation Level 3; and Gabrielle Krutsinger - Focus on Children Level 3.
The state competition will take place in Lincoln April 5-7, said Sheryl Curtis, CCS family and consumer science teacher.
