Junior high boys split at SPVA
North Platte St. Pat’s hosted the junior high SPVA tourney Jan. 27, at which the Chase County boys split a pair of games.
They opened with a loss to Hershey, then overcame Sutherland in their second game.
After being held to just one first quarter point against Hershey, the Shorthorns had difficulty digging out of the deficit, losing 19-37.
Jensen Olsen led Chase County’s scoring with eight. Also on the board were Zach Herbert 4, Easton Fries 4, Cameron Lempke 2 and Luis Co 1.

In the nightcap, Chase County defeated Sutherland 56-14.

Two wins at Sutherland
Chase County was on the road to Sutherland last Thursday, winning both the A and B games.
In the A game, Chase County took a 29-15 win.
Chase County scorers were Fries 10, Mays 5, Lempke 4, O’Neil 2, Sean Heermann 2, Christensen 2, James McArthur 2 and Reeves 2.
