Imperial Credit Union receives monthly Chamber recognition
The Imperial Credit Union opened for business in Imperial in August 1999.
The Imperial location is a sister branch of the Holyoke Community Federal Credit Union (HCFCU), based out of Holyoke, Colorado.
HCFCU has been open since 1938.
HCFCU is a financial cooperative that is locally owned and established to provide financial services along with a safe and sound financial environment for members.
“We’re a credit union so we don’t have fees like banks have,” Branch Manager Carissa Cornelius said.
The Imperial Credit Union offers loans, insurance and financial accounts, as well as notary services and photocopies.
Other financial services available to members include mobile and internet banking, e-statements with check imaging, remote deposit capture and wire fund transfers.
The credit union also offers a deal on kids’ CDs.
“There’s a $200 minimum balance, but you can add to it at any time,” Cornelius said.
“It’s a pretty good deal,” she added. “It’s what I have for my kids for Christmas or birthday money.”
Imperial Credit Union is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
