Against Sutherland, Kennedy was pleased with work done by two freshmen, Bryn McNair and Gisselle Acuna.
“(Acuna) has been doing a good job,” Kennedy said. “She’s handled a lot of freshmen pressure and she’s been doing a good job of stepping up and taking on that.”
Acuna was credited with three blocks against Maxwell, and also had four kills on the night.
Bryn McNair led the Longhorns in hitting percentage with .857, her sister Mallie coming in at .353. Both McNairs earned six kills on the night.
