Beverage Barn wins coed tourney; finishes with undefeated season
Beverage Barn capped off the 2019 coed softball season with the tournament championship, and an undefeated record, Sunday at Schroeder Park.
Winning all three tournament games after a 7-0 regular season, top-seeded Beverage Barn finished 10-0 in the league and tournament.
Beverage Barn defeated Easy Money in the championship game, 14-11. The two had met earlier in the day, and Easy Money won its way back into the title game.
Beverage Barn went home with $175 while runner-up Easy Money received $125.
Team Blue finished third and earned $50 in winnings. Also competing were Yellow Jackets and BYOB.
After more than an inch of rain overnight Saturday, game times were moved back a full hour for Sunday’s tournament.
Jennifer and Derek Stafford coordinated the Imperial coed league this season. All games were held at Schroeder Park.
