Time to spruce up before fair

This is our chance to show what living in small-town rural America is all about. It’s our time to shine. Let’s do just that!

Hard to believe the Chase County Fair begins this weekend with the roundup supper on Friday and the horse show on Sunday. From then on, the coming days will be full of activities that make the Chase County Fair one of the best county fairs in Nebraska.
As fair personnel and fair board members put the finishing touches on the grounds, we in Imperial need to do the same thing at our homes and businesses.
As host for the fair, Imperial has the unique opportunity to roll out the red carpet for the thousands of people who will visit our community. What impression are we going to make on them?
Is your lawn mown? Are there weeds around your property or business that need attention this week? I know there are things on my property that need attention this weekend. How about you?
We take great pride in the Chase County Fair, and rightfully so. Things like making sure your lawn is mown and your property looks neat
and tidy are just a few of the ways we let that pride show through—not only in our fair but in our community as well.
It’s the little things that make the big impressions, like saying “Hi” or extending a helping hand in one way or another to someone you don’t know.
You never know whether that person might become the next citizen of Imperial because of the friendliness we extended during their visit here.
Planning for the Chase County Fair is an ongoing 365-day activity as the fair board strives to make each year unique and a better experience than the year before.
Your ongoing support for an event that brings more people to Chase County than any other remains crucial for the fair’s success. Your presence at this year’s fair and weekend concert series goes a long way in showing how much we value our fair and the work that goes on behind the scenes to make it happen.
This is our chance to show what living in small-town rural America is all about. It’s our time to shine. Let’s do just that!
