Wanda Davis

Wanda Jean Davis, 75 passed away peacefully May 12, 2018 at her home in Henderson, Nevada with 3 of her children by her side.
She was born April 12, 1943 to Bill (Merle) and Laura (Swisher) Whaley in Callaway, Nebraska.
Wanda married Dennis Allington from the Broken Bow area and had five children: Dennise (Ed) Clermont, Doris Allington, Dennis Allington, Darrin Allington and Darla Power.
She lived most of her life in Nebraska, moving to the Vegas area in the 1980’s, where she met and married Sydney Davis.
Wanda worked various jobs over her lifetime, including Wayne Harvey’s Krazy Dick’s restaurant, driving the Champion school bus, driving a taxi and working the front desk at one of the hotel casinos.
Wanda was a mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Family was very important to Wanda, especially attending the Nansel family reunion.  Her children made sure that she was afforded the time and means to attend each of the yearly reunions in Callaway, Nebraska.  
Wanda is survived by her children Dennise (Ed) Clermont of Iliff, Colorado, Dennis D. and Darrin Allington, both of Henderson, Nevada, Doris Allington and Darla Power, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; four grandchildren, Adriane Clermont, Koreena Power, James and Sidney Zell; and one great-grandson, Brian Donohue.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Sydney Davis, with whom she will be reunited, both parents and her sister Jeanette (Willie) Bower.
A memorial service is scheduled for July 13, 2018 at Fort McPherson National Cemetery 11:30 A.M. in Maxwell, Nebraska.
