Imperial Beef treats Chase County Schools to grilled steak lunch

Monday offered a special culinary treat for CCS students and staff.
Brad Foote, owner/manager of Imperial Beef, wanted to acknowledge May Beef Month and celebrate the beef industry by donating grilled rib-eye  steaks and all the fixings for lunch.
“I know that there is a certain percentage of kids who may not have had a steak, and I wanted them to have a chance to taste one,” Foote said.
Foote worked with Amy Prior, Food Services Director for Lunchtime Solutions at CCS, to put the meal together.
“I really appreciated Amy’s help. She did the hard stuff. She’s a great asset for the school,” he added.
Foote went on to say that it was easy to work with Prior.
He said he was glad for her help to organize the special lunch since it was kind of a last minute deal.
Prior and her kitchen staff planned and executed the meal using all food provided by Imperial Beef.
