Field Day a fun end to school year

K-4 students at Chase County Schools had a sunny day Monday for the end-of-year field day. Organized by P.E. teacher Jodie Schuller, about 250 students participated in 14 different stations. Above, youths enjoy the soccer dribble, while at middle, first grader Cy Eskew lets his tennis shoe go in the shoe-fly station. Below, trying to keep her sunglasses in the sack race is kindergartner Lyle Beth Chandler. Other stations included the ball hug race, egg on spoon relay, sneaker hunt, short sprints, horseshoe throw, long jump, outhouse races, “under the hurdle” race, tug-o-war and more. Imperial EMS provided a station this year, too, Schuller said. (Johnson Publications photos)
