As school winds down, band director takes music outdoors

It was a special treat for student musicians and attendees Tuesday as Band Director Agnes Strand took her fifth and sixth grade instrumentalists outdoors for an informal concert, which the director titled, “Band on the Lawn.” Above, the expressive director encourages the sixth grade band members to take those notes just a bit higher. Below, Strand, as she often does, fires up the elementary student audience during the “hey” song. This was just the first of several music concerts this month that will feature both CCS band and vocal students on stage and also at graduation May 12.
