Gerald ‘Jerry’ Dart

Dart, Lt. Col Retired, Gerald “Jerry” age 82, completed his final flight on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, in Wichita, Kansas, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Jerry graduated from Imperial High School in 1954,and attended the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, graduating in 1959. After college, Jerry served 20 years in the United States Air Force. He moved to Wichita after his retirement from the service, and worked as a field service representative for the Boeing Company Military Division. Jerry’s career with Boeing lasted over 20 years.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Merle “Bus” and Alta (Von Stade) Dart, and a brother, Keith.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Glenda of Wichita, Kansas;  sons Gerald Jr., John (Shelli); granddaughter Bethany; mother of his children, Eula (Hill) Dart, all of Bellevue; sister Joyce (Jess) Bernard of Imperial; brother, Ron (Connie) Dart of Imperial; niece Dr. Janet Bernard (Rob Evans) of North Platte; nephews Mike (Melissa) of Bird City, Kansas, Kevin (Janice) of Hastings, Monte (Jennifer) of Hastings, and many great nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 28, at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Wauneta, with Rev. Dirk Weiss officiating.
A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
A memorial has been suggested to the Suzanne Wright Foundation to fight pancreatic cancer.
