Homecoming spirit extends to lunchroom

Amidst the Chase County Schools homecoming game, spirit days and pep rally last week, the school’s lunchroom was also swept up in the excitement.
About 12 members of the Longhorn football team helped serve lunch and assisted younger students with condiment selections for the hot dog and cheeseburger lunch.
The salad bar during the “tailgate party” featured orange and black dishes such as orange slices.
In addition, members of the cheer squad led cheers in between the lunch rotations.
Amy Prior, food service director for Lunchtime Solutions, Inc., the provider for the school lunches, said the addition of football players and cheerleaders provided “a good team building, positive, fun atmosphere.”
