Harchelroad Motors adds new technician to service department

Riley Ruppert of Hayes Center has joined the staff at Harchelroad Motors after his graduation in September from Southeast Community College (SCC) in Milford.
Harchelroad Motors sponsored Ruppert to attend SCC  to receive his training in automotive technology.
“Harchelroad Motors was proud to sponsor Riley for the General Motors Automotive Service Educational Program. Riley showed all the skills needed to become a successful technician within the program,” said Sid Harchelroad, CEO.
Ruppert is single, still living in Hayes Center and commutes to Imperial daily.
“I am very grateful for Harchelroad Motors sponsoring me into the program. The ASEP program provided an in depth training experience. This opportunity will allow me to provide a great service experience at Harchelroad Motors in Imperial,” Ruppert said.
Southeast Community College-Milford has long been known as one of Nebraska’s top technical and vocational colleges.  The Milford campus is celebrating their 75th anniversary this year.
The programs include, but are not limited to, automotive and diesel technology, auto collision repair and advanced training in automotive electronic equipment.
“The curriculum used for the ASEP program is approved by General Motors, and students are required to have a participating dealership. Harchelroad Motors realizes the importance of combining practical experience as well as classroom experience. This is what has made our service department unique to the area in not only customer service but also employee satisfaction,” said Brandon Underwood, Harchelroad’s district manager.
