Imperial artist part of ‘Impact Elemental’ show at McCook gallery

“Impact Elemental,” an art show by a juried Nebraska artists group, is currently on display at the Wrightstone Gallery on the McCook Community College campus until Oct. 31.
Marcia Bauerle of Imperial is one of the artists taking part in the show.
An opening reception will be held Sunday, Oct. 1, from 2-4 p.m.  CT at the gallery and will include harpist, violin and vocal performances from Robin Marks and Terri Calander.
“Impact Elemental” focuses on florals and landscapes, as it was originally part of a special presentation for Lauritzen Gardens in Omaha.
The show includes realistic images, abstract images and images strictly from imagination. It contains works in porcelain, oil, acrylic, metalwork, ceramics, batik, pastel, watercolor, collage, and mixed media.
Impact Nebraska Artists offers four to five major exhibition packages which rotate periodically, each with a focus theme. These themes evolve from Nebraska or mid-plains regional sources, but must have national appeal.
Exhibits are available to large and small venues, both regionally and nationally.
Member artists work in a broad range of styles and media. Membership is limited to 25 Nebraska artists, nationally recognized within their respective artistic disciplines.
Artists are elected through an independent jury. Each member is committed to four years, participating in all programs, exhibitions and meetings.
