Bloodmobile Sept. 14 hopes for 96 units

Next Thursday’s Red Cross Bloodmobile has a goal of 96 units, according to coordinator Liz Mollendor.
To meet that goal during the busy summer season, Mollendor encourages area residents eligible to donate to make an appointment now for the Sept. 14 Bloodmobile.
Donors will be able to give blood between 12 noon and 6 p.m. at the Imperial city gym, which was recently air-conditioned.
One of the new features available now is downloading the Rapid Pass form on mobile devices. Previously, that form was only available online, she said. In both cases, however, the Rapid Pass form will not be available until the day of the Bloodmobile, Mollendor said.
Filling out the form ahead of their appointment will save time with paperwork after the donor arrives, she noted.
Mobile device users can access the app store to download the Red Cross Donor App.
People can also continue to access the Rapid Pass paperwork online at redcrossblood. org.
Appointments are now being scheduled by calling Mollendor at 970-520-2999, or by going online at redcrossblood.org.
Walk-ins are always welcome. Mollendor said. Based on appointments already scheduled, the best time as of this week for walk-ins will be 2 to 5 p.m. next Thursday.
