Lobbing missiles at Syria the right thing

the last 10 days may well be the defining moment of Trump’s presidency.

It’s been a rocky three months for President Donald Trump since he was inaugurated on Jan. 20. Unfortunately, much of it has been self-inflicted, thanks to his own unabashed tweets.
But if a president is to be judged solely on his first 100 days in office, then the last 10 days may well be the defining moment of Trump’s presidency.
When Syrian President Bashar al-Assad used chemical weapons on his own people, President Trump acted swiftly and decisively.
He targeted a Syrian airfield from where the chemical bombing was launched, bombarding it with 60 Tomahawk missiles launched from a pair of naval ships in the region.
For the past eight years, President Obama drew a line in the sand, and then another, and then another—never with the courage to back it up.
That all ended last week when President Trump proved that the U.S. is no longer the weakling it’s been perceived as for the past eight years.
Showing our strength once again was the right thing to do.
