Tweeting is for the birds

Unprofessional tweets are doing more harm than good.

The founders of Twitter, one of the modern ways to communicate, be it 140 words or less, have to be thrilled these days. Bet they never dreamed a U.S. President would be their biggest promoter.
But, why should we be surprised with all these Twitter storms after the campaign and election we just went through?
While I don’t blame President Trump for his attempts to bypass the media, 90 percent of which despises him, by using Twitter and getting his opinions and comments out the way he wants them out, he uses it WAY too much. Example: by most accounts, Trump’s speech to a joint session of Congress on Feb. 28 was well received. He was much more presidential than we had been used to, after watching many of his appearances during and after the campaign.
But, then what does he do? A few days later, he tweets out the allegation that former President Obama wiretapped his phones at Trump Tower during the 2016 campaign. Not offering any proof of the allegation, at least not yet, that stunning charge took away every bit of the good press he was receiving after his speech to Congress.
