Braden Space leads scoring for Longhorns this season

    Sophomore Braden Space led the Longhorns in scoring this season. He scored a total of 255 points over 22 games, averaging 11.6 points per game.
    A trio of seniors followed with Cody Williams averaging 8.2 points per game, Dakota Wallin 8 points per game and Ike Maxwell with 7.1 points per game.
    As a team, the Longhorns averaged 47.9 points per game.
    Breaking down the scoring by field goal percentage, Williams led the way, hitting 52 percent of his shots from both two- and three-point range.
    From 2-point range, he was 53 percent, with Wallin hitting 44 percent of his 2-point attempts, followed by Jack Bauerle at 42 percent.
    Maxwell led the team in 3-pointers, hitting a total of 35 for the season. He was 38-138 for a 25 percent average.
    Space followed with 29 treys, going 29-103 for 28 percent on the year.
    At the free throw line, Wallin finished with 56 points, going 56-84 for 67 percent. Space went 54-88 for 61 percent with Williams close behind at 43-73 for 59 percent.
    On the boards, rebounding honors went to Williams, who averaged 7.4 rebounds per game with a total of 170. Jack Bauerle collected 6.0 rebounds per game with a total of 137.
    Williams also averaged 1.2 blocks per game to lead the team.
    Wallin took top honors for steals, collecting 42 for the season, an average of 1.9 per game.
    He was also the team’s assist leader, averaging 3.9 per game.
