Concealed carry class coming to Imperial March 18

Many people have carried a handgun in their vehicle for years without concern for the legalities, but do you really want to take a chance of having a concealed weapons charge on your record?
Imperial area residents will have an opportunity to learn proper safety and shooting fundamentals, as well as the laws pertaining to the ownership, transportation and use of handguns at a local class March 18.
Hosted by Nebraska Shooters, the class will be held at the Jaycee Hall at 580 East 5th St.
A team from Nebraska Shooters will be here for the training, which starts at 8:30 a.m. The class will last about eight hours and lunch is included in the $125 price.
New shooters are welcome and loaner equipment is available upon request.
This year, attendees can also add the Minnesota non-resident option for $20.
Reservations for the class and more information is available at: www.nebraskashoot ers.com.
For students who have taken the NRA Basic Pistol class from Nebraska Shooters in the past, there is an opportunity to take the next level, Personal Protection in the Home, scheduled in Ogallala on June 10.
Justin Grusing said, “This is a great opportunity to learn the basic skills required to defend yourself in your dwelling as well as spending a lot of quality time with your firearm and gear.”
It also provides the prerequisite for the Personal Protection Outside the Home training, he said. More info on that class is also on the website above.
