No loss estimate yet on Scott’s Pump Service fire

Owner says building, equipment ‘totalled’

There is still a lot in limbo following an early morning fire last Thursday at Scott’s Pump Service in Imperial.
While the building that sits along Highway 61 in the Cornerstone property and all of the equipment inside was insured, owner Scott Moser said there are still a lot of questions to be answered.
“The whole building will have to come down. Everything inside was totalled,” Moser said.
He said he didn’t “have a clue” on the dollar loss his business experienced.
The building alone was originally valued at $300,000, when the city building permit was issued in March 2015.
In addition, there was thousands of dollars in new inventory, tools and vehicles that sustained heavy smoke damage.
“Thank God all of it was insured,” he said.
