It may have been the first time in its history that the village of Arthur had so many people there at once, and certainly it was the first time such a diverse crowd visited.
In less than two weeks, citizens and travelers throughout a large portion of Nebraska will have the chance to see a rare celestial event—a total solar eclipse.
Did you “witness one American hero’s impossible comeback story” July 17 as the dramatic, nationally televised commercial for American Ninja Warrior promised?

The Monday, Aug. 21, solar eclipse path of totality spans the United States from the west coast to the east coast. The path in Nebraska is pictured. Everywhere within the shaded area will experience a total eclipse, with the longest amount of time, about two and a half minutes, being along the center line. The entire country outside the path of totality will experience a partial eclipse(Map courtesy of Xavier Jubier | Eclipse2017.org).
