Santa lands at courthouse via elevator, not reindeer

The cookies were placed by the treasurer’s office with care, ready for kids who saw Santa Claus there.
Actually, the Chase County Attorney’s office and Chase County Child Support sponsored the big elf ’s visit to the Chase County Courthouse last Friday.
The cookies were given away after children visited with Santa and received a candy cane.
A few children shyly approached Santa, but some chatted readily when listing their Christmas wishes.
Santa will also visit the Wauneta Community Building Friday at about 3:30 p.m.
