Wine wins Dundy County write-in campaign

He said last week it would be an uphill battle to win a write-in campaign for Dundy County Attorney, but it happened. Arlan Wine of Wauneta defeated the incumbent county attorney there in Tuesday’s General Election.
According to Dundy County election results, Wine fielded 385 write-in votes to incumbent Gary F. Burke’s 296.
Wine will continue to serve as Chase County Attorney for the rest of the year, after his defeat in the May Primary by Imperial attorney Joel Burke. Both ran on the Republican ticket and Burke garnered the most Primary votes so was the only candidate advancing to Tuesday’s General Election.
