Upcoming holiday store hours, specials in the area

The holidays are on their way, and everyone is preparing, from families preparing for the arrival of loved ones to businesses preparing to accommodate them. The Republican has gone through many of the local businesses to inquire about both their holiday hours and any potential sales they have, as to encourage commerce.
For starters, everywhere will be closed on both Christmas and New Year’s Day. As for the eves before then, most of the businesses are still their regular hours, with some exceptions. Owen’s will be closed at 3 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Bomgaars will close at 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve and at 6 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
To get some shopping done in time for Christmas, there are also a number of in-store sales going on around town. Owen’s True Value has said that they will have a number of hardware items on sale such as tool sets, batteries, Christmas lights, etc. This sale will last until December 31st, 2023.
Samie Johnson of Prior’s New Generation Fabric has said that a number of sales events will happen after Christmas. From Dec. 26 to Dec. 29, there will be a 25% off End of Bolt sale. From Dec. 27 to Dec. 29, there will be a 25% sale on buttons and threads. From Dec. 28 to Dec. 29, there will be a 25% off sale on sewing patterns and books. Finally, on Dec. 29, there will be a 25% off sale on rulers, as well.
At 509 Broadway, there will be a sale of 205 Christmas graphic t-shirts. Finally, the owner of Shari’s Gifts said that there will be a 30% off sale on their Christmas cards. The sale will also apply to their scarves and similar clothing items.
