Trio of Easter Egg Hunts on tap starting Saturday

Youngsters will easily fill their baskets in the days ahead, as three Easter Egg Hunts are on tap in Chase County.
The first two will happen this Saturday in Imperial and Enders. The Wauneta community has a hunt scheduled April 8.
The Imperial Lions will distribute more than 2,000 candy-filled eggs in four age group areas in the city’s Campbell Park this Saturday, starting at 1 p.m.
Some of the plastic eggs will contain quarters donated by Adams Bank & Trust, Imperial Credit Unit, Pinnacle Bank and Waypoint Bank.
Parents and youngsters are encouraged to arrive early, before the 1 p.m. start, as the hunt moves very fast, said Lions President Randy Hayes.
Toddlers up to youths in 2nd grade are invited, and need to bring their own collecting baskets or bags. Parents are asked to park along the West 6th St. entrance to the park.
A storm date is set for Saturday, April 8.
After the hunt is over in Imperial, youths and parents have plenty of time to get to Enders Lake Recreation Area for the Game & Parks-sponsored hunt at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Supt. Beau Licking said the hunt is open to age 0 to 10, and youths should also have their own baskets for the Enders hunt.
The hunt will be set up by the picnic shelter near the shower house. A yearly or daily park pass is required, which will be on sale that day, Licking said.
Wauneta hunt April 8
After youths rest up a week, another Easter Egg Hunt is planned in Wauneta on Saturday, April 8, starting at noon.
Organizers are returning the hunt to the Wauneta Care & Therapy Center grounds at 427 West Legion Street, hosted by Wauneta Chamber businesses.
Youths should bring their own collection baskets.
Easter Sunday will be celebrated April 9.
