Thursday Lenten breakfasts start this week

    A series of four weekly Lenten breakfasts get underway in Imperial this week, beginning this Thursday at the Saved by Grace Cowboy Church.
    The Chase County Ministerial Alliance is sponsoring the free breakfasts, which include messages for Lent, to be held at four different churches, beginning each Thursday morning at 6:45 a.m.
    The Thursday gatherings will include a light breakfast to be followed by a welcome and  prayer by the minister/pastor of that church and a message from a fellow minister/pastor.
    The ecumenical gatherings are intended to conclude by 7:30 a.m. People of all faiths are welcome.
    Here is the four-week schedule:
    Feb. 25—At Saved by Grace Cowboy Church, sale barn-130 Adelaide St., Welcome/prayer by Dave Hogsett, message by Pastor Alex Gebert.
    March 4—At St. Patrick Catholic Church Hall, 740 Broadway, Welcome/prayer by Fr. Lothar Gilde, message by Pastor Deb Copple.
    March 11—At Crossroads Wesleyan Church, 220 West 17th St., Welcome/prayer by Pastor Alex Gebert, message by Fr. Lothar Gilde.
    March 18—At First United Methodist Church, 420 Holland St., Welcome/prayer by Pastor Deb Copple, message by Dave Hogsett.
