Nick and Tyler Talbott will return to their Imperial hometown for a Saturday night concert at City Square.

Talbott Brothers bringing band for Saturday concert

All the other events of Smokin’ on Broadway may be off the schedule this summer, but the concert that was to top off the day Saturday is on.
The Talbott Brothers, featuring Imperial natives Nick and Tyler Talbott, will perform at 7:30 p.m. on the green space in City Square.
The hour and a half concert will include their full band, the first time the band will perform here, said Smokin’ committee member Tyler Pribbeno.
“It should be a fun night; we’re expecting a fun show,” Pribbeno said.
Those attending should bring chairs or blankets to sit on, he said. Food and drink vendors will be on site during the concert.
The area will be fenced off for ID checks, and everyone entering will have to pass through the gate, organizers said.
The Talbott Brothers are an alternative—indie-pop duo that combine honest songwriting with down-to-earth messages that prove to be prevalent in today’s world.
The duo lives in Portland, Oregon.
Pribbeno said the Imperial Chamber of Commerce and its board wants Smokin’ to come back with a full day’s schedule, including its BBQ contest, in 2023.
“We’d like to see it grow back to where it was before the pandemic,” he said.
