Students’ state fair work to be displayed Sunday at museum

Each year, students at Chase County Schools submit entries in the Nebraska State Fair’s open class education division.
Some of those entries headed to the state fair next month will be on display at the Chase County Museum this Sunday in Champion.
CCS second grade teacher Arlys Cupp works with students in several grades to get the state fair entries submitted in time for the competition. Projects completed during the 2021-22 school year will be entered in the 2022 State Fair, Cupp said, and on display in Grand Island from Aug. 26 to Sept. 5.
These projects, which include divisions for K-12, encompass educational areas such as wall art, 3-D art, illustrated books, science displays, community service projects, essays, penmanship, poetry, zen coloring, history displays and more.
Cupp is inviting students whose entries will be displayed at the museum to come and share about them with visitors Sunday.
The museum is open from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Refreshments will be served.
