Snow doesn’t keep 4-H Carnival-goers away
“Sew It, Grow It, Show It in Chase County 4-H” was this year’s 4-H Carnival theme.
Despite the snow, a large crowd gathered at the Chase County Fairgrounds on Sunday, March 26, for the annual event.
Family members of all ages gathered to take part in the fun atmosphere of the 4-H Carnival, as 4-H clubs and independent 4-H families decorated carnival games where youths played to win prizes.
There was a game for everyone, including the popular Cake Walk, Pig Races and Plinko. The Country Store offered a variety of baked goods, popcorn and homemade items to purchase.
The carnival is held each year as a way for the Chase County 4-H Council to raise funds for its scholarship program. In 2022, $2,000 in 4-H Enrichment Scholarships and Senior College Scholarships were awarded.
