Monday’s council meeting last for Jo Leyland

With Clerk/Administrator Jo Leyland retiring in early April, Monday’s Imperial city council meeting will be her last.
At the March 6 meeting, Leyland sat in the audience while newly-appointed Administrator Tyler Pribbeno sat at the council table. However, she continues to work in the transition of the administration.
That includes helping prepare the agenda for Monday’s 6 p.m. meeting.
Monday’s start of the meeting will likely be in closed session as the council, mayor and others meet with their attorney via zoom on the Leibhart suit against the city.
Discussion of the pending litigation is on the agenda, along with several other items as of early this week:
Nuisances—Amber Kuskie of West Central NE Development District will be at the meeting to discuss regions for review in the coming year.
Speed limit approval—Leyland said this is a request from the state to update the city ordinance.
The council will also consider action on a housing grant application and renewal of the city’s health insurance plan.
