MCT’s PETER AND WENDY auditions coming up

An audition will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) production of PETER AND WENDY January 22nd at Chase County Schools from 3:30 to 5:30. Those auditioning should arrive at 3:30 p.m. and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of those cast from auditions will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.
Among the roles to be cast are Peter, his Shadow, Tinker Bell, and the Lost Boys; Wendy and her brothers John and Michael; their parents Mr. and Mrs. Darling with their faithful friends Nana and Liza; Captain Hook and his Pirate Crew along with the Crocodile; Tiger Lily, the band of Neverlanders and Neverland Creatures; and, carrying them to Neverland, a group of stormy Clouds. Students in Kindergarten through 12th grade are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. MCT Tour Actor/Directors, DJ Hodges and Noel Medina, will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 3:30 to 7:45 each day. Phyllis Mock of Enders will provide piano accompaniment.
DJ’s interests are working out, socializing, meditating, being outside, and listening to music. Some of his favorite shows he’s performed in are Jacob Marley’s A Christmas Carol, Trickster Tales, and Cuthbert Speaks.
Noel is from Pattison Texas. He lived in New York City for a year where he attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Noel has performed in many shows including Peter Pan, Hairspray, #LOVEME. His interests are sewing, playing instruments, and teaching!
PETER AND WENDY will be presented in the CCS auditorium on Friday, Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. The Missoula Children’s Theatre residency in Imperial is brought to you by Chase County Area Arts Council with support from PomPoms, Imperial Rotary Club, Allo and Nebraska Arts Council.
