Leibhart litigation on council agenda Monday
Leibhart litigation against the city of Imperial is one of the items on a full Imperial city council agenda Monday.
Clerk/Administrator Jo Leyland expects the discussion to take place in closed session about 6:45 p.m. The city’s attorney David Dudley will visit with the council, mayor and other city officials via zoom.
That likely means all others in attendance will have to leave part way through the meeting during the closed session, Leyland said.
The case involves a denial of medical coverage by the city’s insurer for injuries sustained by Dan and Stacy Leibhart’s son in a vehicle accident. Dan Leibhart works for the city.
Other council business for Monday’s meeting, starting at 6 p.m., includes:
Outstanding Citizen presentation by former council member Chad Yaw to Chelsea Zuege and Mason Tyerman.
Street closures for Smokin’ on Broadway for July 15.
Approval of pre-applications for Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Fund money
Changing city signature cards to add Hillary Mundt and Tricia Moreno and removing Jo Leyland and Roxane Miller.
Approval of pay requests to Midlands Contracting Inc. for materials on site for water and sewer projects.
Approval of Green Energy Rate through NE Municipal Power Pool.
Consider approval of an alternate to Municipal Energy Agency of Nebraska.
Wage ordinance adding Tricia Moreno, along with Lori Rowley and James Shrout in public works dept., soccer and summer rec director and groundskeeper positions.
Ordinance consideration to combine job titles adding deputy clerk to Tricia Moreno’s title and removing it from Tyler Pribbeno’s.
Mayoral appointment to Citizen’s Advisory Committee.
