Human trafficking exhibit trailer to be at CCS, W-P schools next week

Human trafficking awareness for sex and slave labor is the fastest-growing criminal enterprise in the world, and they’re making young people their targets right here at home in our own back yards, according to Global Connection International.
Every community is vulnerable unless they learn to detect the warning signs and know what to do when they see them.
GCI is on the road educating thousands of young people and their families to the dangers posed by highly organized human traffickers by using a mobile educational exhibit at numerous schools, churches and public venues across the country.
This human trafficking awareness and prevention campaign exhibit is coming to Chase County sponsored by the Imperial Rotary Club, Pinnacle Bank, Chase County Schools and Wauneta-Palisade Schools.
The exhibit trailer will be  set up on the CCS campus and open to the public in Imperial on Oct. 26 and 27 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
CCS students, grades 5-12, will be touring the trailer throughout the school day on Oct.  27 and 28.
On Oct. 29, the human trafficking trailer will be on exhibit during school hours at Wauneta-Palisade Schools in Wauneta.
The public is invited to find out how they can engage in the battle to protect children and young people from the threats that traffickers use to coerce them.
