High Plains: Explore, Discover, Adventure

I don’t know about you, but since I was a little girl, I have loved to pick up those magazines and brochures at rest stops, restaurants and hotels when traveling. I don’t know why, maybe the pictures or just the information that they provided, but I loved to search for them everywhere.
High Plains North and South newspaper groups, owned by Mullen Newspapers, are excited to bring travelers and residents alike a new and improved travel guide that will include many travel destinations, community information and photos that will intrigue the reader.
The coverage areas include the Holyoke Enterprise in northeast Colorado and the Imperial Republican and Grant Tribune Sentinel in southwest Nebraska along with their sister papers in northwest Kansas including the Gooldand Star News, St. Francis Herald, Rawlins County Square Deal, Oberlin Herald, Norton Telegram, the Colby Free Press and many places in between.
Given the fact that all of our newspapers are located on highly travelled roads, including Interstate 70, these guides will be picked up by people all over the nation. We want our guide to be comprehensive and stand out! We want people to open it and say “Oh goodness! That is so cool looking! We have got to get off 70 and go see that!” What about…“We will pass right through there on our way to your next stop! Mark it on the GPS and we will go!” And don’t forget that new family that just moved to your area and they want to learn more about what they can do this weekend. The possibilities are endless!
Although we can gather numerous articles and tidbits to include, we need our community’s help to provide a well-rounded piece for those reading our guide. As a business owner, we want to include you and help you garner as much revenue from those who could visit your shop, restaurant or stay in your hotel. This can happen when you place a great looking ad in this full color, glossy magazine style guide that will attract people’s eye. As an event coordinator, we want to include your activity or special event from May 2024-April 2025. This means if you have a festival that happens the first weekend in October, we want to know about it.
How do you get involved you ask? Easy, contact the closest newspaper office near you from the list above and speak to a sales rep for ads or the editorial staff to contribute a picture/s and event information. We want to make sure that everyone gets included in this great guide.
Ads start at $25 and you can even be included on the projects’ map to show where you are located. Stand out in the guide and buy a larger ad to include more services, photos of you business or offer a coupon to redeem at your location. Again the possibilities are endless as to how to promote your business or event! Deadlines for ads and editorial copy is April 15, 2024.
Again we need your help to make sure we attract those ages 7 to 70 and can include all the fun, food and festivities they can enjoy when visiting with us.
