Council meeting looks like long one

Hearing for 2022-23 city budget set for Sept. 26

A very full agenda awaits members of the Imperial city council and mayor for their meeting Monday.
One of the items is review of the final 2022-23 budget document prior to the public hearing Sept. 26 and a companion ordinance setting wages for the coming year.
City Clerk/Administrator Jo Leyland said they have set a special meeting on Sept. 26 for the budget hearing.
Here are other agenda items that will be before the council and mayor at the Sept. 19 meeting, starting at 6 p.m. in the council chambers:
Public hearing and nuisance report for properties at 812 E. Highway 6 and 900 E. Highway 6 and possible action.
Consider approval of advertising for bids for the WellPark Development sewer extension and water main loop on East 12th Street. Only one bid was received earlier this year on the same project and wasn’t acted on.
Use of transfer station by the county for scrap tire collection will be discussed.
A resolution will be addressed to participate in the Nebraska Public Agency Investment Trust for investment of city funds.
Approval of the final Owner Occupied Rehabilitation fund program income report.
Consider approval of a resolution for term of participation in League Association of Risk Management.
Council approval will be sought for authorization for investment of insurance reimbursement for police car hail damage.
Consider approval of ordinance to adopt city code book.
Consider resolution for program compliance to Dept. of Transportation.
