City council meeting to include oaths of office

    Since 2022 was an election year, much of Monday’s Imperial city council agenda will include business related to new office-holders who’ll be seated that evening.
    The agenda as of Tuesday includes oaths of office for newly-elected officials, accepting the resignation of council member Craig Loeffler who was elected mayor and declaring a vacancy on the city council for Loeffler’s seat.  
    Other business will include appointment of city officials and boards, an application for manager of Broadway Steakhouse (liquor license requirement) and rescheduling the first meeting in January due to the New Year’s holiday.
    Monday’s meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the council chambers.
