Chase County students represent at state fair education competitions

Students from Chase County Schools participated in the Nebraska State Fair Education Competitions at the Nebraska State Fair. The exhibits were judged and on display Aug. 25- Sept. 4. The educational opportunities are open to students from K-12 from all over the state of Nebraska. The exhibits are sponsored by the NEBRASKAland Foundation and the Nebraska State Fair. Awards are presented to the top five exhibits in all divisions and some exhibits are chosen to be on display at the Nebraska State Capitol for Nebraska’s birthday celebration. Points are counted for the award winners and high point individuals are awarded trophies. This year’s trophy winners were:
Sophie Fortkamp-1st, Shane Jantz-3rd, Booker Vlasin-4th, Joel Adle-5th, and Isaiah Pursley-6th. Chase County won the school sweepstake award for earning the highest number of points in the K-5th grade division.  Ribbons and cash awards are presented to the students:1-$100, 2-$50, 3-$25 and Sweepstake winners received 1-$200, 2-$150, and 3-$100
