Chase County Commisioners hold regular meeting April 22

Tuesday, April 22, the Chase County Commisioners held thier regular meeting at the Chase County Courthouse.
The meeting was called to order and in open forum, there was discussion on mag treatments to some county roads and approval was given to put an electric switch on the water truck so the valve can be opened and closed from inside the cab of the truck, making it easier to shut off the water when meeting traffic.
Kurt Bernhardt moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting and Billie Muehlenkamp seconded. Jacci Brown was absent. All voted yes and motion passed.
Billie moved to approve the claims and Kurt seconded. Both voted yes.
Discussion followed on rules of closed sessions,but the item was tabled until the next meeting. The jail standards report was looked at.
Discussion on electrical work at the fairgrounds was brought up but tabled until next meeting, however the commissioners instructed Jordan Beard to advertise for bids on the Fairgrounds electical, so they could be opened at the next meeting on May 13.
Billie moved and Kurt seconded to appoint Marissa Smith to the Chase County Community Hospital Board for a six year term, replacing Tim. That fills the board back up to seven members.
With no further business, the meeting adjourned.
