Chase County Challenge groups to gather Aug. 14

Matching checks will be presented as groups celebrate success

Imperial Community Foundation Fund board members  have announced the final donation numbers for the Chase County Challenge.
A few more donations were counted since the last report, increasing the final total donations to 21 participating organizations.
ICFF secretary Brianna Pribbeno said Chase County accepted the challenge and then surpassed the initial giving goal with a final $87,398.50 received in donations across all organizations.
That’s up slightly from the $85,364.50 reported two weeks ago.
Add the Imperial Community Foundation Fund’s $50,000 match, and together $137,398.50 will be put back into the community.
ICFF board members are planning a celebratory cocktail reception at the Brad and Linsey Foote residence on Monday, Aug. 14, from 5 to 6 p.m. when matching donation checks will be presented.
Groups that participated in the CCC are asked to have a representative contact Pribbeno by Aug. 9 to RSVP. She can be contacted at 308-414-2275.
Pribbeno said the ICFF looks forward to continuing this annual event.
“The Chase County Challenge was an incredible success, thanks to each of you for getting the word out and encouraging our community to get involved,” she said.
