Celebration will recognize legacy of SCORE

On Wednesday, June 12th, there will be a celebration held at Chase County Schools to recognize the years of hard work that have gone into the legacy that is SCORE Camp. The goal of the event is to honor the students that have gone to camp, the staff that has put the camp together, the volunteers that were vital to the camp’s success and the community for its support of SCORE.
The evening will begin with a hot dog feed sponsored by Grub’N 308 beginning at 5:30. This event is free and open to the public. At the same time, several interactive exhibits will be present for anyone wanting to take a look. The exhibits will include a look at birds and bugs, paintings, The Human Dude—a walk-through model of the human body—among others.
Beginning at 6:30, the Re”Vive”d Wacky Science Show will take place. Then at 7:15, Jon Gates: Yo Yo Legend will entertain everyone with his yo yo tricks. Following the shows, there will be a celebration with cake and ice cream. This event is a part of SCORE Camp’s principle of community payback.
