CCF Open Photo Contest winner announced for stormy photo

“A Storm Is Coming” by Karla Deepe has been named the 2023 Chase County Fair Open Photo Contest Best Of Show Winner:
Deepe, along with the other photographers who placed in the categories of Barns, Family, Humor and A Storm is Coming, received cash prizes based on the number of entries.
Deepe’s photo was actually honorable mention in the A Storm is Coming category.
After the judging of the categories was completed, the judges were asked what was their favorite overall photo and two of the three judges choose Deepe’s picture.
Winning the A Storm is Coming group was Brigham Scott of Thedford for his picture “Bring on the Rain.”
Kathy Hutchins of McCook was first place in Barns with “Saturday Morning at the Barn Party.”
In the category Family, first place went to Lana Stromberger of Champion for “Purple Ribbon Dreams Come True.”
Stromberger also won the Humor category with “Enjoy the Ride.”
Photos will be on display throughout the fair in the Exhibit Hall.
