Casino Night fun on tap next weekend to support CC hospital

A big night is ahead next Saturday, March 4, when the Chase County Hospital Foundation hosts its 2nd annual Casino Night fundraiser.
Shawn Jaeger, the hospital’s Foundation and Marketing Coordinator, said Casino Party USA is returning with a team of professional dealers from Denver after a successful first Casino Night in 2022.
Tickets are selling well, he said, and a crowd of 150-200 is expected for one of the two main Hospital Foundation fundraisers each year.
“There has been significant interest,” Jaeger said, “not only in ticket sales but from table sponsors.”
He said there is a lot of excitement about the event after “a great response last year.”
Doors open March 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the Nutrien Event Center on the fairgrounds.
Grub’N 308 will serve a nacho bar and sandwiches from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The games will start at 7:30 p.m., running until 10:30 p.m.
Casino Party USA will be bringing eight gaming tables including one for craps, one for roulette, five for blackjack and a Texas Hold’em Poker table, Jaeger said.
Guests will enjoy a lively casino atmosphere, Jaeger said,  in addition to music, the food and $200 in casino chips with their ticket purchase. Additional chips can also be purchased during the evening, he said.
After an evening of casino fun, attendees will be able to “cash in” their chips in exchange for drawing tickets. The drawings will be for $2,000 in prizes of Chamber Bucks ranging from $50 to $500, Jaeger said.
A silent auction will also be conducted during the evening with items donated or sponsored, Jaeger noted. Some of the items already on hand for the silent auction are a Blackstone griddle, Pit Boss tabletop griddle and numerous gift cards at Imperial and Wauneta businesses.
Jaeger said he’ll be busy collecting additional silent auction items in the coming week.
Wine, beer and spirits will be available at the cash bar by The Beverage Barn and Broken Arrow Cellars.
Tickets for the event at $50 each should be reserved by next Friday, March 3, so plans can be made for food and seating.
Jaeger noted the Casino Night is one of the two big fundraisers the Foundation plans each year, both to support Chase County Community Hospital.
The other is the summer Slice Fore Life golf tournament on the last Saturday in June. This year’s tournament will be June 24.
Plans are to continue the annual Casino Night on the first Saturday in March.
