Bids for water, sewer work on Monday council agenda

    The Imperial city council will convene for a regular meeting Monday night, with several items of business already on the agenda.
    One of those includes consideration of bids for the city’s East 12th Street water main project and for sewer extension work at the WellPark housing development project of Dennis Kunnemann’s.
    Three bids on the work were originally reviewed at the council’s Oct. 17 meeting, but were tabled for further review. All of the bids were above the engineer’s estimates.
    As of Tuesday, these items will also be on the agenda next week:
    A public hearing to take comments on the Citizens Advisory Committee’s semi-annual report. The committee oversees use of the city sales tax LB840 funds for economic development.
    Consider list of accounts payable for write-off.
    Consider recommendations from the city’s nuisance officer to abate nuisances.
    Possible approval of year-end certification of Street Superintendent.
