Alumni to reunite at CCS, WP

Alumni of both Chase County Schools and Wauneta-Palisade Schools will be gathering over Memorial weekend to reminisce over their school years. Alumni Banquets for both schools will take place on Saturday, May 25. Classes whose graduation year ends in ‘4 will be the honorees this year.
Wauneta-Palisade class of 2004 are the hosts for this year’s event. Classes are invited to tour the school building in Wauneta, which has recently been going through some major changes. Renovations are finishing up in the existing building and the addition which holds a gym, cafeteria and kitchen are also in their final stages. Tours will begin at 5 p.m. for anyone wanting to participate. Class pictures will be taken in the gym at 5:30 p.m. with supper beginning at 6 p.m. The meal will be catered by Pits & Spits BBQ.
The CCHS Alumni Banquet will commence with a bus tour of Imperial hosted by Shawn Jaeger. Those wanting to participate should meet at the school at 3:00. Class photos will take place in the school gym at 4:30. The banquet will be held in the Nutrien Event Center at the Chase County Fairgrounds. A meal of smoked pork chops, cheesy potatoes, green beans, salad and dessert will be served and is $35 at the door. Anyone wanting to gather after the meal is invited to the Imperial Country Club for cocktails and conversation.
