Also picking up wins were Trey McCrumb, 170 lbs., Blake Nickerson, 182 lbs. and Draven Miner, 220 lbs.
Broncos Coach Danny Schluckebier complimented T. McCrumb for his commitment over the holidays and said he wrestled well.
Saturday, the Broncos traveled to Oshkosh for the Garden County Invite.
Miner went 3-0 and won first place at 220 lbs. Schluckebier said Miner started the day like he wanted to win and saw it through.
Also winning matches were K. McCrumb and T. McCrumb.
Despite K. McCrumb going 1-2, Schluckebier said he wrestled very well that day.
Schluckebier said Andrew Muckety, 120 lbs., came out better Saturday than Friday and made both his opponents have to work for wins.
Overall, Schluckebier said the back-to-back tournaments went pretty well.
“We learned some things we need to work on and we learned that we are able to compete with any opponents,” he said.
