Wildcats break the Broncos in lopsided 0-53 ballgame

    The Bronco defense didn’t have trouble stopping the pass, holding Wallace to just 22 yards in the air. It was the speed of Wallace on the ground that gave the Broncos more than they could handle.
    In the first quarter the Broncos kept the Wildcats from scoring, but when the floodgates opened there was no stopping Wallace on the ground.
    In the second quarter the Wildcats scored on runs of 79, 48, 35 and 9 yards. After making one extra point kick and missing two and converting a two point conversion the score was 0-27 at the half.
    In the third quarter Wallace scored on runs of 27 and 43 yards, converting one kick and failing on a two point conversion.
    Going into the fourth quarter trailing 0-40 the Broncos where unable to punch a score in and Wallace had two more rushing touchdowns of 46 and 11 yards bringing the final score to 0-53.
    The Broncos had 141 total yards with; 12 rushing and 129 passing. Wallace had 408 total yards; 22 passing and 386 rushing.
    N. Blackman was 5-9 passing for 78 yards, D. Miner 6-12 for 51 yards.
    T McCrumb had 12 attempts rushing for 35 yards, G. McCrumb 3-3, B. Nickerson 1-minus 1, D. Miner 1-minus 9, N. Blackman 3-minus 21.

    G. Sutherland led in tackles with 5 solos and 5 assissts, T. McCrumb 4-4, N. Blackman 2-3, G. McCrumb 2-0, C. Walker 2-1, D. Miner 1-2, A. Acton 1-3 and S. Manley 0-1.
    This week is Homecoming with the Broncos playing host to Arthur County.  The Wolves come into the game with an undefeated record of 5-0. Game time is 6 p.m. MT.
    Next week Oct. 13 the Broncos will host Paxton for a 6 p.m. MT kick-off.
