Thompson claims men’s open tournament by eight strokes

    Jeremy Thompson shot 106 to take the men’s open tournament Sunday at the Enders Lake Golf Course.
    Thompson scored 39, 34 and 33 for a total of 106, eight strokes better than second place finisher Joe Humphrey. Jim Pirog was third with a total score of 117. The tournament had a field of 39 golfers.
    Thompson’s final two rounds were tournament lows.
    The championship flight played 27 holes and all others played 18 holes.
