Postseason honors continue for students

     Fall postseason honors continue to be announced across the state.
    Last week the Nebraska Schools Activities Association published its list of fall academic all-state recipients.
    Receiving the award from Chase County are Madelynn Hanes, Faith Hauxwell, Colin O’Neil and Andrew Wiest, Cross Country; Carter Leibbrandt and Jaret Peterson, football; George Colton and Wiest, play production; Jaiden Hill and Hailey Markee, softball; and Joee Clevenger and Bryn McNair, volleyball.
    Recognized from Wauneta-Palisade are Grayden Sutherland, football and play production; Sophia Alfayo, play production; and Chloe Stehno, volleyball.
    The Omaha World-Herald and Lincoln Journal-Star have also announced their all-state football and volleyball lists.
    Wauneta-Palisade’s Jacksen Littrel earned Class D6 Honorable Mention from the World-Herald.
    For volleyball, Wauneta-Palisade’s GraCee Goings, Chloe Stehno, Peyton Cox were on the Class D2 honorable mention list and Chase County’s B. McNair, Clevenger and Landree McNair were on the Class C1 honorable mention list for both the World-Herald and Journal-Star.
    WP’s Halle Bardsley was also included on the Class D2 honorable mention list by the Journal-Star.
