PeeWees to play final games

    With only one more week remaining on the PeeWee schedule, each Imperial team played twice last week.
    Imperial 1 rolled to a 34-3 win over Ogallala 3 on June 21.
    Every Imperial 1 player scored at least twice in the game. Dylan Miscles, Rodrigo Robles and Jaxsen Villarreal each scored five time.
    Miscles and Jesus Acuna pitched for Imperial 1.
    Friday Imperial 1 lost a close 11-12 game at Ogallala 2.
    Miscles, Robles and Aaron Cervantes started off the game with three straight runs for Imperial 1, before giving up four runs to Ogallala 2 in the bottom of the first,
    Imperial 1 went scoreless in the second inning and trailed 3-6 at the end of the inning.
    Cervantes, Max Bernard and Jesus Acuna scored back-to-back-to-back in the third inning. Four runs by Ogallala 2 left Imperial 1 trailing 6-10 heading into the fourth.
    Imperial 1 grabbed the lead with five straight runs in the top of the fourth, but left the door open for Ogallala 2 by leaving the bases loaded. Ogallala 2 scored its first two batters of the fifth to end the game, an 11-12 loss for Imperial 1.
    Acuna, Miscles and Cervantes handled pitching duties for Imperial 1.
    Other games last week included Imperial 3 against Imperial 2 Wednesday and, on Friday, Grant at Imperial 3 and Wallace at Imperial 2.
Up next
    Wednesday Imperial 2 was at Ogallala and Imperial 3 traveled to Paxton. Imperial 1 hosted Grant.
    Imperial 1 will go to Hershey Friday and Imperial 2 will head to Ogallala 2.
    After the regular season’s final games Friday, the tournament will be played in Hershey July 5-8.
